First look: Hannah Cruz as Audrey with Ethan Slater in Little Shop of Horrors

Little Shop of Horrors key art The first production photos of Hannah Cruz as Audrey are out, showing her opposite Ethan Slater’s Seymour in the Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors at the Westside Theatre.

Cruz, a 2026 Tony nominee for her Svetlana in the Chess revival, took over the role on October 27 from Betsy Wolfe, who played her last performance two days earlier. The handover was first announced with T.R. Knight as the incoming Seymour, as we reported when the new leads were named; Knight later withdrew, and Slater stayed on in the part.

The pictures are by photographer Emilio Madrid. They were released on Instagram as a joint post from Playbill and Cruz’s own account, and they pair the new Audrey with Slater, the Tony nominee from SpongeBob SquarePants, who has played Seymour throughout. The full set is below.

If the photos do not load, see them on Instagram.

Around the two leads, the company includes Claybourne Elder as Orin Scrivello, D.D.S., Stephen DeRosa as Mushnik and Christian McQueen as the voice of Audrey II, with Christine Wanda, Savannah Lee Birdsong and Morgan Ashley Bryant as Ronnette, Crystal and Chiffon.

Michael Mayer directs the Alan Menken and Howard Ashman musical, now in its seventh year at the Westside Theatre Upstairs, 407 West 43rd Street. Tickets are sold through the production’s official website, LittleShopNYC.com.
