The production announced the change on its official website, which bills Slater as Seymour and Wolfe as Audrey “through October 25 only” and names Knight and Cruz as the pair who follow. The site has not yet added cast biographies for the incoming leads, and it does not set out the new casting role by role.

The current company also includes Claybourne Elder as the dentist Orin Scrivello, D.D.S.

Michael Mayer directs the revival of the Alan Menken and Howard Ashman musical, now marking seven years at the Westside Theatre Upstairs, 407 West 43rd Street, between Ninth and Tenth avenues. The staging won the best musical revival prize at the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League awards, and is a New York Times Critic’s Pick.

The show runs two hours, including one 15-minute intermission. It is recommended for ages 5 and up, and children under 4 are not admitted. A digital lottery sells $45 tickets two days ahead of each performance, with entries open from 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and a limit of two tickets per winner.

Tickets are sold through Telecharge and at the Westside Theatre box office, which is closed on Mondays and open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
