Christmas Time in the City comes to The Town Hall for one night, Thursday, December 10 at 8pm, with Norm Lewis, Lauren Patten, Kate Baldwin and Mary Testa among ten Broadway and New York stage names on the bill.
The holiday concert is presented by the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, where it began and sold out three seasons in a row. This year is its first at The Town Hall, and its biggest staging so far.
The full lineup: Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!), Dez Duron (Maybe Happy Ending), Danyel Fulton (the Suffs national tour), Grey Henson (Mean Girls), Telly Leung (Allegiance), Norm Lewis (Once on This Island), Jasmine Muhammad (Intimate Apparel), Tony winner Lauren Patten (Jagged Little Pill), Diego Rodriguez (Sunset Blvd.) and Mary Testa (Oklahoma!).
They sing new Broadway-style arrangements of Christmas songs, backed by a 25-piece orchestra and the St. Paul the Apostle Choir. The program runs from big orchestral numbers to gospel, with reworked holiday standards in between.
Joey Chancey is executive producer and leads the music. Hannah Oren is creative producer and Jack Cummings III directs.
Tickets are sold through The Town Hall.
