Curtain times are 7pm on October 23, 1:30pm and 7pm on October 24, and 3pm on October 25. The Kaye Playhouse is on 68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues, and its box office takes phone bookings on 212-772-4448, Wednesday to Friday from noon to 6pm.

This is the company’s own staging, which opens with a short prologue set in the offices of the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company, the troupe that first produced the operetta at London’s Savoy Theatre in 1885. Then it is the familiar Titipu: Nanki-Poo and Yum-Yum, Ko-Ko the Lord High Executioner, Pooh-Bah, Katisha and the Mikado himself.

The rest of the season follows at a steady clip:

  • A G&S Carol: A Live Radio Play — a holiday mash-up of Dickens and Gilbert & Sullivan, December 5–6 at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street.
  • The Pirates of Penzance — January 9–10 and 16–17, 2027, at the Kaye Playhouse. A free kids’ workshop for ticket holders runs from noon to 1pm on January 16.
  • The Gondoliers — April 10–11, 2027, at the Kaye Playhouse. Artistic director James Mills gives a free introduction in the theater at 2pm before the April 11 matinee.

Subscriptions to the three Kaye Playhouse shows are on sale until October 23 with a 25% saving: $315 in the orchestra and $210 in the side orchestra or balcony. Subscribers can also get a $60 presale code for A G&S Carol by emailing the company. Full details are at NYGASP.org.
