Nick Blaemire’s Soon has extended for a second time. Out of the Box Theatrics’ Off-Broadway premiere now runs at The Loft at St. Luke’s through November 22, 2026, a week past the November 15 closing set by its first extension.
That makes two extensions in a little over three weeks. The production opened on October 5 with a closing date of November 8; the company added a week earlier this month, and has now added another, citing popular demand.
The room is The Loft, on the third floor of St. Luke’s Theatre at 308 West 46th Street. Will Blum directs. Ava Delaney plays Charlie, with Mylinda Hull as Adrienne, Mike Millan as Steven and Oliver Richman as Jonah. Jillian Abaya and Ruchir Khazanchi are the understudies.
The show is a small indie-pop chamber musical. Charlie, in her twenties, is sitting out what may be the end of the world behind a closed door, while Jonah wants her to start living before time runs out. Getting her to step outside is the whole fight.
It took a long route to New York. Blaemire’s musical was developed and first staged at Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia, in 2015, and a pilot production played the East Village Basement in October 2025. This run belongs to the company’s Loft Series, which gives new work a pared-down staging in front of audiences while its writers are still shaping it.
Out of the Box Theatrics, founded by Liz Flemming in 2016, produces in association with Bella Vita Entertainment, Dru Margolis and Red Horse LLC. For what the critics made of the opening, see our review roundup. Tickets for the added week are on sale now through our Soon page.
