Bigfoot Ripped My Dog In Half I Saw It brings Xhloe and Natasha’s puppet thriller to SoHo Playhouse

Xhloe and Natasha in pink clown make-up in key art for Bigfoot Ripped My Dog In Half I Saw It Two teenagers in clown white, a nine-foot puppet and a town ready to believe anything: Bigfoot Ripped My Dog In Half I Saw It comes to SoHo Playhouse after sold-out runs in Edinburgh and London, playing the Main Stage through January 3, 2027, with opening night on Wednesday, December 2.

The show is the latest from Xhloe and Natasha, the New York-based duo of Xhloe Rice and Natasha Roland, who wrote it, perform it and co-direct it with Tom Costello. It won a Scotsman Fringe First at this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe, the pair’s fourth after And Then The Rodeo Burned Down (2022), What If They Ate The Baby? (2023) and A Letter To Lyndon B Johnson or God: Whoever Reads This First (2024), and then sold out a September run at Soho Theatre in London. Soho Theatre and SoHo Playhouse produce the New York engagement together.

The setting is an Appalachian town in the 1990s, with the floodwater rising. Two bored teenagers stage fake Bigfoot sightings to pass the time, until a neighbor’s dog turns up torn apart. Panic spreads, conspiracy theories take hold, and the two have to work out what is really preying on a town already primed to see monsters.

The staging is all physical: sharply drilled choreography, clowning, and a nine-foot puppet the performers built and operate themselves. This year the duo also received a Sam Norkin Off-Broadway Award from the Drama Desk Awards, and they are SoHo Playhouse’s 2026 artists in residence.

The show runs 60 minutes and is recommended for ages 14 and up. SoHo Playhouse is at 15 Vandam Street, and the venue lists a 7pm curtain.
