The Morbs extends to November 21 before its first preview at A.R.T./New York

The Morbs key art, Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective The Morbs, Jen Diamond’s comedy-thriller for Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective, has added a week before it has played a single performance. The world premiere now runs through November 21 at A.R.T./New York Theatres’ Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre.

The production had been scheduled to close on November 14. With the extra week it gives 27 performances, from the first preview on October 26 to November 21, according to BroadwayWorld. Critics are invited from Wednesday, October 28, and opening night is Monday, November 2.

The setup is a sorority reunion gone wrong. An outbreak of a frightening illness called the Morbs sends three old college friends, Tatum, Trish and Wendy, into a cabin in the snowbound New Hampshire woods. They have not been in a room together for five years, and the old loyalties and old grudges come back fast – while whatever the Morbs is waits outside the door.

Emma Kikue, Rachel Ravel, Jennifer Regan and Alexandra Templer make up the cast. Lily Kanter Riopelle directs.

“The Morbs is my love letter to long-term female friendships,” Diamond said of the play. Diamond is a 2025/2026 member of Clubbed Thumb’s Early Career Writers Group.

Design is by Chris & Justin Swader (scenic), Avery Reed (costumes) and Paige Seber (lighting), with Willow Funkhouser as movement director and Jessica Forella as production stage manager. Egg & Spoon, led by artistic director Liam Lonegan, produces in partnership with Ali Sousa and Max Faye.

Performances are Monday to Friday at 7:30pm, with two shows on Saturday at 2pm and 7:30pm, at 502 West 53rd Street. The play runs 90 minutes with no intermission. Tickets, including donation-based options that support the company, are on sale through Egg & Spoon’s ticketing page.
