Sacrifices: The Musical names its cast for a four-night Off-Broadway premiere at the Angel Orensanz Foundation

Sacrifices: The Musical, a new musical set in ancient Jerusalem, has named its company ahead of an Off-Broadway premiere at the Angel Orensanz Foundation on the Lower East Side, where it opens on December 2 for four performances.

The engagement is short and fixed: December 2, 8, 15 and 16, 2026, at the foundation’s building at 172 Norfolk Street. The casting was first reported by BroadwayWorld.

The piece is set in Jerusalem in the years before the city fell, and it follows four people – a poet, an artisan, a rebel and a scholar – whose paths cross in a society pulled apart by extremism, inequality and political feuding. Its score sets Eastern musical colors against the shape of the American book musical, and the question it keeps returning to is what a community can still save when it is close to breaking point.

Sasha Kisselgoff leads the company as Noa. Alongside are Katrell Vonn as Bar Kamtza, Alayna Hopgood as Yehudit, Izaya Perrier as Ribaz, Jared Allen Price as Elazar, Natalie Daninhirsch as Martha, Bo Flowers as the Head Sage and Nino de la Torre as Aba Sikra.

The ensemble of Lucy Honor Lewis, Kailin C. Ames, Carla Angeline Mongado, Margaret Lebre White, Sévon, Tristian Brown, Daniel Boodoo and Alex Lyons also covers the principal roles.

Eli Kaplan Wildmann wrote the book and directs, with music by Yonatan Cnaan and lyrics by Andrew Zachary Cohen. David Serero produces. Catie Davis is consulting director, Dan Pardo music director and Zalman Kelber music coordinator, and the production team includes costume designer Sofie Daley, Ida Berger on props and Sivan Raz as stage manager and assistant director.

With only four dates, two of them on consecutive nights in mid-December, the run gives New York audiences a narrow window to see a musical that measures a two-thousand-year-old crisis against the present day.
