Ned Van Zandt's solo show Lost in Del Valle has added two days to its SoHo Playhouse run and now runs through October 16, rather than closing on October 14.
A New York actor lands in a Texas prison on a drug charge. An inmate from the Texas Aryan Brotherhood recognizes him from One Life to Live and offers protection, at a price: acting lessons. That is the frame Van Zandt hangs his own story on, cutting back to the Chelsea Hotel in the 1970s, to Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen, and to Los Angeles parties with his friend Chaka Khan.
Amir Arison, of The Blacklist and The Beast in Me, directs. The show runs 65 minutes with no intermission and is recommended for ages 18 and up. It came to the Vandam Street theater after an award-winning run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The run began on September 14. Evening performances are at 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, with Sunday shows at 5 p.m.
