Juan Pablo Di Pace will make his Broadway debut as Doc in Schmigadoon!

Schmigadoon! key art Juan Pablo Di Pace will make his Broadway debut in Schmigadoon!, playing Doc at the Nederlander Theatre from October 24 to November 24.

The production announced the casting on October 6 on its official social channels. Doc is the role Ivan Hernandez plays in the current company, according to the show’s own cast list, and Di Pace steps into it for this limited stretch of about a month.

Di Pace is best known on screen as Fernando, the role he played on Fuller House from 2016 to 2020. His stage career began in London, where he appeared in the West End production of Chicago in 2003, and he later starred as Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever in Madrid. In New York he has previously played a solo show at 54 Below, in 2017.

“CANNOT WAIT to get lost inside Schmigadoon!” Di Pace wrote on Instagram, adding that he would see audiences at the Nederlander on October 24.

Created by Cinco Paul, Schmigadoon! won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The company is led by Alex Brightman as Josh Skinner and Sara Chase as Melissa Gimble, with Jennifer Simard as Mildred Layton, Ann Harada as Florence Menlove, Brad Oscar as Mayor Menlove, Isabelle McCalla as Emma Tate, Maulik Pancholy as The Reverend Layton, Max Clayton as Danny Bailey, McKenzie Kurtz as Betsy and Ayaan Diop as Carson.
