Producers Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens and John Frost announced the extension on October 20, putting it down to demand. In a joint statement, Kirdahy and Ahrens said Madix had been “earning standing ovations nightly” in the role, and that the added week would let more audiences see “her incredible star power live on stage.” Madix is an Emmy nominee, known to television audiences from Love Island.

The rest of the company keeps turning over around her. Matthew Morrison returns as Bobby Darin from October 20, with Tristen Buettel as Sandra Dee, and both play through Sunday, November 8. From Tuesday, November 10, Tony nominee Nicholas Christopher, fresh from last season’s Chess, takes over as Darin, while Sadie Dickerson comes back as Sandra Dee for a limited three-week encore. Whitney Leavitt then returns to Broadway in the same role for six weeks, from December 1, 2026, to January 10, 2027.

All of that sits on a show with unusually firm footing. Just in Time began previews on March 31, 2025, opened on April 26, 2025, and was the only musical of the 2024–2025 season to recoup its capitalization. It is now booking through Sunday, February 7, 2027, and has added a Thursday matinee this fall, making the weekly schedule Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, and matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Thursday at 1pm and Sunday at 3pm.

Developed and directed by Alex Timbers, with a book by Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver, the musical traces Darin’s rise from teen idol to headliner, and a career cut short by heart trouble, with a live band on stage and the auditorium dressed as a supper club. The score is Darin’s own catalog, including Beyond the Sea, Mack the Knife, Splish Splash and Dream Lover. Choreography is by Shannon Lewis, with sets by Derek McLane, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Justin Townsend and sound by Peter Hylenski.

Tickets start at $69, with Night Club “Floor Seating” and “Banquette Seating” closest to the performers. They are sold at the Circle in the Square Theatre box office, 235 West 50th Street, and through the production’s official website.
