Union and guild members can buy $30 rush seats for Clifford Odets' Waiting for Lefty at Classic Stage Company, in person at the box office from one hour before each performance.
The offer is one ticket per person and depends on what is left on the day. Buyers need to show they belong to a union or guild; a physical or digital union card, or a membership email, is accepted.
Classic Stage Company ties the discount to the play itself. Odets's 1935 drama is set among New York taxi drivers deciding whether to strike, and the company has already built a run of post-show sit-ins and talkbacks around the labor movement, which we listed earlier this month.
Two other in-person rush prices apply at the same box office, on the same terms of one ticket per person from an hour before curtain: $30 for students with valid ID, and $40 for general rush.
The production, the directing debut of Steven Pasquale, begins previews on October 15 and runs through November 22, 2026, at the Lynn F. Angelson Theater, 136 East 13th Street. The company includes Tala Ashe, Raffi Barsoumian, Austin Durant, Greg Hildreth, Adam Kantor, Doireann Mac Mahon, Zach McNally, Sahar Milani, Cameron Scoggins and Henry Stram.
Standard tickets are on sale through our Waiting for Lefty page.
