The Outsiders company remixes its own score for Broadway Cares at the Laurie Beechman

The Outsiders: Remix, a one-night concert for Broadway Cares at the Laurie Beechman Theatre The current Broadway company of The Outsiders will perform its own score, rearranged, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on Wednesday, November 11, at 9:30pm. Proceeds from The Outsiders: Remix go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Emma Pittman, who originated Cherry Valance in the musical, is producing and directing the one-night concert. Andrea Yohe, the Broadway production’s assistant music director, is in charge of the music. The concept is the original cast album played live, with the songs reworked and pushed into other genres for the night.

Tickets in the room are $55, with doors at 9pm, at the theater’s home at 407 West 42nd Street. A livestream is sold separately through Stellar Tickets. Details and both kinds of ticket are on the Laurie Beechman Theatre’s event page.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is a national grantmaking nonprofit that funds services for people living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses. It is not the company’s only cause outside the eight-show week: the production also runs the Stay Gold Project, which it took to students nationwide through a partnership with City Year.

The Outsiders, adapted from S. E. Hinton’s novel, won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Musical and plays the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.
