The extension adds 16 performances in the East Village company’s 89-seat theater, starting November 16. There is no show on Thanksgiving, November 26, and the final performance is the Sunday-evening show on November 29.

The run started on September 8 and opened on September 22, and it has been lengthened more than once since. It began life billed for six weeks only.

Michael Herwitz directs, as he did Friedlich’s Job, which he took from its first festival staging all the way to the Hayes Theater on Broadway. The Holes is a rewrite of the first play Friedlich ever wrote. It is set in a run-down bar in an upstate town that is gentrifying fast, where a padlocked back room offers the town’s men a release they cannot find anywhere else. Bubba Weiler, Tina Benko, Grantham Coleman and Jack Mulhern are the cast; the critics’ verdicts are in our review roundup.

The production is also the first theater project for Icki Eneo Arlo, the production company founded by Robert Pattinson, which is its executive producer. Design is by Anna Grigo (sets), Lily Cucinelli (costumes), Evan C. Anderson (lighting) and Brandon Bulls (sound).

The Wild Project is at 195 East 3rd Street. Tickets for The Holes are on sale now.
