Small Mouth Sounds brings its Broadway dates forward, with previews now from February 10

Key art for Small Mouth Sounds on Broadway, billing Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, Sarah Paulson, Martin Freeman, Greta Lee and Isaac Powell Small Mouth Sounds will begin previews at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on February 10, 2027, eight days earlier than first announced, and its opening night moves up a week to March 11. Tickets go on general sale on Sunday, October 25, at 10am ET.

The Broadway production of Bess Wohl's play had been scheduled to start performances on February 18 and to open on March 18. Both dates now come forward, and the gap between them barely changes: the company keeps roughly four weeks of previews before opening night, so the change puts the play in front of paying audiences sooner without shortening the run-up to the reviews.

Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, Sarah Paulson, Martin Freeman, Greta Lee and Isaac Powell make up the six, under the direction of Joe Mantello. Roberts and Rudd were on Broadway together in Three Days of Rain in 2006; Paulson is a Tony winner for Appropriate.

The play follows six strangers who sign up for a silent retreat, each hoping to leave their troubles at the door, and finds comedy in how badly that goes. Wohl's play was first seen Off-Broadway at Ars Nova in 2015. Its Broadway outing arrives after her Liberation took both the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play last season, and Mantello, a three-time Tony winner, comes to it from last season's Death of a Salesman.

General on-sale is through Telecharge, which the producers name as the ticketing outlet. The Ethel Barrymore Theatre is at 243 West 47th Street, and production details are on the official site.
