The show plays two weekends only on 42nd Street, with performances at 11am and 4pm on October 17, 18, 24 and 25. It is the earliest date on the New Victory's 2026-27 calendar, and the next show on that calendar does not arrive until mid-November.

The source is Andrea Beaty's bestselling picture books, illustrated by David Roberts: Rosie Revere, Engineer, Iggy Peck, Architect and Ada Twist, Scientist. On stage, Miss Greer's second-grade class ends up stranded on an island, and it falls to the engineer, the architect and the scientist to think their way off it, building and testing as they go, with some help from the grown-ups.

Lauren Gunderson wrote the book, Kait Kerrigan the lyrics and Bree Lowdermilk the music, with orchestrations by Lloyd Kikoler. The production's original direction is by Peter Flynn and its original choreography by Marcos Santana, with sets by Anne Mundell and costumes by Jen Caprio.

Beaty will sign books in the theater's lower lobby after the 11am performance on opening day. Copies are on sale in the New Victory Shop, and families can also bring their own.

The show runs 60 minutes with no intermission. Tickets start at $25, including fees, through the New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street.
