Oh, Mary! grossed $1,592,306 at the Lyceum Theatre in the week ending Sunday, October 11, the best week on record for both the comedy and the 121-year-old house, with Bowen Yang less than a month into a run as Mary Todd Lincoln.
The producers, Kevin McCollum & Lucas McMahon and Mike Lavoie & Carlee Briglia, announced the figure on October 13, and it is less a breakthrough than the latest entry in a long sequence. When Oh, Mary! opened at the Lyceum on July 11, 2024, it became the first show in the theater's 121 years to take more than $1 million in a single week, and by the producers' count it has broken its own record 15 times since.
Bowen Yang, the actor, comedian and host of Las Culturistas, made a Broadway debut in the role on September 15. The engagement was announced as limited and has already been extended once: Yang now stays through January 17, 2027.
Phillip James Brannon as Mary's Husband and Barrett Foa as Mary's Teacher joined the company at the same time as Yang, while two members of the original Broadway cast remain: Bianca Leigh as Mary's Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary's Husband's Assistant. Hannah Solow, Martin Landry, Julian Manjerico, Jackie Sanders, Sean Peter Forte and Sam Gravitte complete the company.
The play is by Cole Escola, who originated the title role, and is directed by Sam Pinkleton; both won Tony Awards in 2025. The creative team also includes dots (scenic design), Holly Pierson (costumes), Cha See (lighting), Daniel Kluger (sound design and music), Drew Levy (sound), Leah J. Loukas (wigs), Addison Heeren (props supervision) and David Dabbon (arrangements), with casting by Henry Russell Bergstein, CSA.
The Lyceum is no longer the only place to see it. The Olivier Award-winning West End production is at the Trafalgar Theatre in London, a North American tour opened in Hartford, Connecticut, on September 19, 2026, and has since added cities for the 2027–28 season, and a performance filmed in the West End is set to premiere on HBO in 2027.
Booking for the Broadway run now extends to July 10, 2027. Tickets start at $59 through Telecharge (212-239-6200) or in person at the Lyceum Theatre box office, 149 West 45th Street. A digital lottery for select seats at $47 runs through the show's official site, OhMaryPlay.com, and a limited number of $43 rush tickets are sold in person at the box office on the day, from when it opens.
