Natalie Love is bringing her mix of magic and puppetry for very young theatergoers to New York: Nutty Natty’s Magic Puppet Show opens a run of Saturday-morning performances at The Theater Center’s Jerry Orbach Theater on November 14, 2026.
Love is the show’s writer and director as well as its star, playing the title role of Nutty Natty, a magician who has no use for the traditional top hat and tails. The piece is aimed at children aged 3 to 7 and folds sleight of hand, comedy and puppets into one interactive show, with the audience asked to help the tricks along rather than simply sit and watch them.
The puppets are by Axtell Expressions, the company whose work on Amaze won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Puppetry this year. The characters include Charlie the Dog, a chatterbox with a cheeky streak, and Baby Jas. The production bills Love as a Drama Desk Award-winning puppeteer, and she is an Associate of London’s Inner Magic Circle.
“With Nutty Natty’s Magic Puppet Show, children aren’t just watching the magic happen — they’re part of it,” Love said of the show.
Ella Jacobson completes the company, credited simply as “Everyone Else.” The set is designed by Clare Nordbruch, with lighting and sound design by Tommy Bond. Magic Maze Live produces.
Performances are on Saturdays at 11 a.m. from November 14, 2026, through January 9, 2027. The Jerry Orbach Theater is a 199-seat, three-quarter thrust room inside The Theater Center at 210 West 50th Street. Tickets are on sale now, and the production is offering 20% off seats booked before November 14 with the code EARLY. The box office can be reached at 212-921-7862.
