Students can now buy $25 tickets to Much Ado About Nothing, Jamie Lloyd’s staging with Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell at the Winter Garden Theatre. The production has set aside 2,500 of them across the run, and a $49 digital lottery opens alongside.
The student tickets went on sale on October 22 through Telecharge, with the code JLCSTUDENT. Each buyer is limited to one ticket, sold first come, first served and subject to availability. Tickets are collected at the Winter Garden box office on the day of the performance, and a valid student ID must be shown at pickup.
The digital lottery
Lottery entries go through Telecharge’s rush site, rush.telecharge.com, and open at 12:00 a.m. ET the day before each performance. Winners are drawn that same day at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. ET, and each may buy up to two tickets at $49 apiece, a price that includes a $5 service fee. Seats are subject to availability and may have a partial view.
Pink for the first preview
The first preview is the evening of Saturday, October 31, and the audience that night is invited to come dressed in pink, in any shade. The theme follows the production from London, where The Telegraph called it “a brilliantly inventive, much-needed blast of fun.”
Hiddleston plays Benedick and Atwell plays Beatrice. With them are Mara Huf (Hero), Mika Onyx Johnson (Borachio), Gerald Kyd (Don Pedro), Forbes Masson (Leonato), Phillip Olagoke (Friar Francis), Mason Alexander Park (Margaret), James Phoon (Claudio) and Tim Steed (Don John). The Broadway company went into rehearsal earlier this month; our earlier report has the first pictures from the room.
Opening night is Thursday, November 19, and the strictly limited engagement ends on Sunday, January 10, 2027. Full-price tickets are sold through Telecharge, by phone at 212-239-6200 and at the Winter Garden box office, 1634 Broadway.
