Brooke Shields, the president of Actors’ Equity Association, will receive the Artistic Leadership Award at Night of 100 Stars, the gala marking the 20th anniversary of Broadway Dreams, on Monday, December 14, 2026 at The Plaza in New York.
She is the third honoree named for the evening. Lea Michele receives the Artistic Achievement Award, and Rachel Hoffman, the Artios Award-winning casting director at The Telsey Office and a longtime member of the Broadway Dreams faculty, receives the Founder’s Award.
The leadership award fits the moment as much as the career. Shields was elected president of Equity, the union for more than 50,000 professional actors and stage managers, in 2024, and the stage work behind the honor is long: a Broadway debut as Rizzo in the 1994 revival of Grease, then Chicago, Cabaret and Wonderful Town, and Morticia Addams in The Addams Family. She has also directed Chicago at the Hollywood Bowl.
The evening brings Broadway performers onstage alongside Broadway Dreams students and alumni. Tony winner Alex Newell and the director, producer and writer Holly-Anne Devlin are directing the entertainment, and the gala is led by Ryan Stana, chair of the Broadway Dreams board, and Marjorie Wynn, who chairs the gala committee.
Broadway Dreams trains young performers through mentorship with working Broadway professionals, and in two decades it has spread to more than twelve US cities and eight countries. By the organization’s count, 70% of its students receive need-based scholarships, and its alumni appeared in 29 of the 34 shows running on Broadway during the 2026 season.
The award was first reported by BroadwayWorld. Individual tickets and tables of ten are offered through the Broadway Dreams gala page; no prices have been published.
