The Broadway company of Aladdin has paid tribute to Alain Brutus, an ensemble member who made his Broadway debut with the production, following his death this week.
The message was posted on the musical's official Instagram account on October 2. "Our hearts are with the family and loved ones of Alain Brutus, a cherished member of the ALADDIN company who made his Broadway debut with us," the company wrote. "We are endlessly proud of our boy and will forever carry his light, talent, and spirit."
Brutus joined the company at the New Amsterdam Theatre on May 20, 2025. Along with his ensemble track, he was an understudy for two roles: Aladdin himself, and Omar, one of Aladdin's three friends in the show.
