Suffs will launch a new North American tour at Proctors in fall 2027

Suffs key art Suffs, Shaina Taub's Tony-winning musical about the campaign for women's right to vote, will open a new North American tour at Proctors in Schenectady, New York, in the fall of 2027.

The launch is confirmed on the show's official website. Tour cities and casting are to be announced in the coming months, and no opening date at Proctors has been given yet.

The new tour follows the show's first North American tour, which began in September 2025.

Shaina Taub wrote the book, music and lyrics, and won the 2024 Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score, the first woman to win both categories on her own in the same season. Leigh Silverman directs, with choreography by Mayte Natalio and music supervision by Andrea Grody. The musical also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best New Musical, and its Broadway cast recording was nominated for a Grammy.

The show premiered at The Public Theater in April 2022 and opened on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024, running until January 2025. It follows Alice Paul and her fellow suffragists through the final years of the fight for the Nineteenth Amendment, ratified in 1920.

Proctors, in downtown Schenectady, is in its 100th anniversary season.
