Masquerade will follow its October 31 performance with a second Le Bal Macabre, a Halloween soirée staged on the production’s own set. Tickets went on sale on September 25.
The soirée runs across several floors of the show’s 57th Street home and takes in the set itself, including the ground beneath the chandelier. Music, live performances and spectacle are promised. Extravagant all-black macabre dress is required, as is a Masquerade mask.
Three tickets are on sale: one covering the October 31 performance and the soirée together, one for the soirée alone, and a late-night soirée ticket. All three are sold through the production’s own site at masqueradenyc.com/halloween.
Masquerade is an immersive staging of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, presented by arrangement with LW Entertainment at 218 West 57th Street. It plays evenings Tuesday through Sunday, with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays, and is on sale through February 28, 2027. Audiences move through the piece rather than watch it from a seat, from the rooftop of the Opéra Populaire down to the lair beneath it.
The production won a Drama Desk Award and an Off-Broadway Alliance Award. It was created by Diane Paulus, who also directs, with Lloyd Webber and Randy Weiner. Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui is choreographer, Scott Pask scenic designer, Emilio Sosa costume designer, Ben Stanton lighting designer, Brett Jarvis sound designer and Nicola Formichetti mask designer. William Waldrop is music director.
The chandelier carries more than 30,000 crystals supplied by Preciosa, the production’s official crystal partner.
